WHAT IS AUTO ENROLMENT?

Automatic Enrolment is a legislative mandate introduced by the UK government, aimed at encouraging individuals to save for their retirement by establishing pension schemes within workplaces. While some individuals may choose to opt out of their workplace’s scheme, the majority are automatically enrolled as part of this initiative.

Auto Enrolment eligibility
The employee qualifies as a "worker."
The employee falls within the age range of 22 to the State Pension age.
The employee earns an annual income of at least £10,000.
Automatic Enrolment duties do not apply in specific scenarios, such as when a company or individual is not considered an employer or when they meet one of the following criteria:
You operate a one-person business with no other employees.
Your company has multiple directors, none of whom have employment contracts, and there are no other employees.
Your company has multiple directors, but only one of them has an employment contract.
Your business has ceased operations and has been dissolved.
You no longer hire individuals to work in your home (e.g., cleaners, nannies, personal care assistants, etc.).
